ZG Hearing Update – Judge Grants Subpoena Request

In yet another pointless PR exercise — featuring the ever-incompetent money-grabbing M&M and their infamous PayPal-powered Motel 6 resident — and after a delayed start due to ego-congestion… the judge ultimately decided to grant M&M’s subpoena request – but confirmed that Casey’s address must be sealed (and remain sealed) to the public.

Here’s the video from WESH.com featuring Charles Greene telling it like it is, plus a cameo appearance from M&M’s very own warm-up guy Keith Mitnik – proving once again what an asshole he is.

Jose Baez to publish Casey Anthony book – “Presumed Guilty”

From WESH.com:

Jose Baez announced details of a book he plans to release this summer. He promises the book will give an inside look into the Casey Anthony murder trial.

The book, titled “Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story.” will hit store shelves in July — one year after Anthony’s acquittal.

Jose Baez Pens Book About Casey Case

“On July 17th 2008, my life changed forever. I think the time has come for the whole story to be told,” Baez said in a statement.

The publisher, BenBella Books, said the book will expose shocking information about Baez’s first meeting with Anthony, her parents’ behavior and the trial itself.

Baez was Anthony’s attorney for more than three years. The publisher promises the book will reveal the real Anthony, from the person who got to know her best.

The publisher also said the book’s aim is not to convince readers of Anthony’s innocence.

“There are so many behind-the-scenes facts and stories that have never been made public. I look forward to sharing my story,” Baez said in the statement.

No Alarms & No Surprises: Judge denies request to Cancel Casey/ZG trial

From WESH.com:

“Judge Lisa Munyon denied Casey Anthony’s request on Thursday to dismiss the civil trial against her.

Munyon released a summary judgment for both Zenaida Gonzalez and Casey. Gonzalez’s attorneys asked Munyon to rule in her favor instead of going to trial in January. Munyon denied that motion.

Casey’s attorneys asked the judge to dismiss the trial altogether, but Munyon denied that motion.

Munyon did rule that Gonzalez cannot use statements that Casey made to law enforcement about Gonzalez. Gonzalez can only use statements Casey made to her friends and family about her, according to the judge.

Gonzalez is suing Casey for defamation. She says Casey ruined her reputation when she said a nanny with the same name kidnapped her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony, in 2008.

The trial is set to begin on Jan. 2, 2013. The pretrial conference will be held in December.

Casey’s attorneys said that the case has no merit.

Attorney’s said that Casey never identified Gonzalez as “Zanny the Nanny” when she was shown pictures of Gonzalez. Documents show Casey said, “That’s not her.”

“The fact of the matter is this plaintiff, Zenaida Gonzalez, is not ‘Zanny the Nanny,’ no matter how badly she wants to be,” said Greene.

Another point Casey’s attorney’s make was that Casey claimed her made up nanny was Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, not Zenaida Gonzalez like the plaintiff signs her name.

Gonzalez put herself in the public eye by conducting interviews, according to the documents filed by Casey’s attorneys.

The last point attorneys made in their motion for dismissal was only after Gonzalez showed her face on TV did she received impolite and unwanted comments from the strangers.

Cindy Anthony made a declaration in support of her daughter. Cindy said the plaintiff does not even in the slightest resemble the woman her daughter described as Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.”

I’m not too surprised with this latest BS ruling, but I know January 2013 is a long way away…

Judge Postpones Casey’s Civil Case Until Jan 2013

From WESH.com:

Judge Postpones Casey Civil Case Until Jan 2013

“ORLANDO, Fla. — A judge decided on Tuesday to grant both sides a continuance in the civil trial against Casey Anthony.

The attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez and attorneys for Casey asked Judge Lisa Munyon to move the April 10 trial because of scheduling conflicts. Munyon granted the motion and the trial is now set to begin on Jan. 2, 2013. The pretrial conference will be held in December.

Munyon kept the hearing scheduled for March 23 on the docket. One expert said he doesn’t think this case will ever go to trial. “I predict it’s going to be dismissed,” said legal expert Jeff Deen. “It’s one thing to say you’ve been slandered or liabeled by somebody. It’s another thing to say you’ve been damaged by that.”

On Monday attorneys for Gonzalez asked the judge for Casey’s address so they can serve her with a subpoena. Munyon said the attorneys can subpoena Anthony, but that they will have to find her themselves. The civil case against Anthony was expected to go to trial next month. Attorneys for Gonzalez want to be sure Casey will be there for the trial.”We subpoena people for trial all the time,” attorney Keth Mitnik said. “This is just her wanting to be treated different once again.”

Anthony attorney Cheney Mason said he would file a federal lawsuit if his client’s address is made public. Mason said he doubts the attorneys with Morgan and Morgan, who represent Gonzalez, will be able to find her. “If they do, she’ll be gone very quickly,” Mason said.

Casey’s attorneys said she is undecided on whether she plans to attend the two-week trial. Attorney Charles Greene said it isn’t likely she will attend because of security concerns. Casey’s civil attorney said he carries a gun due to the ongoing threats against Casey and those who defend her. Gonzalez is suing Casey for defamation. She says Casey ruined her reputation when she said a nanny with the same name kidnapped her daughter 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony in 2008. Casey’s attorneys said that the case has no merit.

Attorney’s said that Casey never identified Gonzalez as “Zanny the Nanny” when she was shown pictures of Gonzalez. Documents show Casey said “that’s not her.””The fact of the matter is this plaintiff, Zenaida Gonzalez is not ‘Zanny the Nanny’ no matter how badly she wants to be,” said Greene.

The judge will review the motion in a hearing scheduled for March 23.”

Judge denies ZG’s attorney address request

*** 3/13 UPDATE: Judge Postpones Casey’s Civil Case Until January 2nd 2013 ***

In a hearing this morning, Judge Lisa Munyon denied ZG’s attorney’s request to obtain Casey’s address for their well-publicized subpoena shenanigans… although she did say Casey could be subpoenaed if they can find her. That’s highly unlikely, seeing as M&M couldn’t find  their ass with both hands.

Casey was represented by Charles Greene and Cheney Mason. Both sides have asked for a continuance in the April 10 trial because of scheduling conflicts.

UPDATE: Texas EquuSearch – closed door hearing

From: CF 13 News – 1-17-2012 :::

“Casey Anthony will have to answer two questions for Texas EquuSearch. Just two.

Judge Lisa Munyon ruled Tuesday that Anthony was still entitled to invoke the Fifth Amendment on many of the questions Texas EquuSearch wants to ask her as part of their lawsuit. The group is suing Anthony. They contend she wasted their money and resources because they say she knew all along her daughter was dead.

The judge did rule, however, that Anthony could be compelled to answer two “admissions”:

  • Admit that you did not observe or hear George Anthony call 911 at any time to report that he or you had discovered that Caylee Marie Anthony had drowned in the swimming poll at your parents’ house on or about June 16, 2008.
  • Admit that you were aware in September 2008 and October 2008 that EquuSearch was conducting searches for your daughter, Caylee.

She has 10 days to provide answers to these admissions.

Anthony was found guilty last July of four counts of lying to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office regarding her daughter’s death. Since she is appealing that conviction, her attorneys have long insisted that she cannot answer any questions until her appeals have been exhausted.”

JB, Copyright Claims and ongoing Douchebaggery

It never ceases to amaze me how, time and time again, the vast majority of people state they are “not interested” in Casey, yet I upload Casey’s 4 minute Video Diary to YouTube and get over 500,000 views in 4 days. Not to mention sky-rocketing ratings coupled with countless millions of views the movie has had through the mainstream media.

By the way – NBC Universal (News) are now claiming copyright to the original first Casey Video (uploaded by Holly & Jon Briley – amongst others), as they apparently “bought the exclusive rights” to it from ____ – and they’re now trying to enforce that by issuing takedown notices via YouTube. Interesting. (Click here to see their YouTube claim).

While Rob Hensley apparently continues to hold out for the best offer on Casey Video #3… we also had our other (9 second) Casey video removed following a copyright claim from a clueless Vancouver-based fame-seeking whore called Brianne Chantal.

The plot thickens.

Meanwhile…

That same YouTube video also attracted a few hundred very positive & supportive comments (we deleted the odd negative post), and somewhere in the region of 8,800 viewers gave it the “thumbs down”. That was interesting, because when you look at the bigger picture of views versus “thumbs down”, that equates to an overall and none-too-shabby positive/neutral rating of 98.2%.

Here’s a typical comment copied from the movie page, which says it all really:

“Casey, in my opinion, is innocent. The American court system doesn’t just let people get away with murder. There are professionals who work these cases who are a lot more competent than the average person watching at home on TV. People think she’s guilty because they take information they hear from the media at face value, make an over-simplified conclusion, then get on their high horse and start focusing hate at someone they don’t know at all. It’s a shame.”

Well said.

Moving on from all that, and taking into account some of the deleted negative comments posted on our YouTube channel, I came to the following conclusion (yet again):

The vast majority of people simply do not have the mental capability to properly analyze the facts & information regarding Casey’s trial. Instead they’re way too quick to jump to conclusions and follow “the herd” with whatever “the herd” has decided. That’s why, I deduce, there are still so many hateful & negative comments circulating regarding Casey. Even after 3+ years… most people still can’t handle the truth, nor do they even want to.

This lack of mental capability has no boundaries either… you, old, black, white, male, female – and every other permutation you can think of. Nobody is spared from the rod of ongoing stupidity & douchebaggery.

I’m not sure whether their parents are solely to blame… or whether they just lack basic education, communication and/or social skills. Maybe they live such sad lives that they have to try and take out their personal frustrations on someone else. Maybe it’s a mixture of all the above? But they’re certainly a bunch of sad lifeless individuals.

Instead of acting like faux “Caylee Warriors” (i.e. loving Caylee while hating on her Mom), it’s a shame their combined efforts can’t be channeled more constructively into something way more important & positive – like unearthing the real truth about 9-11 for example (?)

Bottom Line: Anyone that still clings onto the ill-conceived notion that Casey is guilty has some real serious issues to deal with. They should at least consider seeking some form of help for their own sake, and for the sale of their children & families.

In the meantime — and amidst everything else that’s going off — the latest rumor circulating is that of Casey’s proposed “dumping” of Jose Baez. The story seems to have started on the MyFoxOrlando website. Probably total BS, but no doubt we’ll find out soon enough.

Anyways… there’s no getting around the fact that Casey is (and always will be) BIG NEWS… and if she ever does strike a first TV interview deal, you can bet your bottom dollar that’s gonna finish up drawing more viewers than the SuperBowl. You’d better believe it.

WE LOVE YOU CASEY!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a quick post to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I wish Casey a nice Thanksgiving too for the first time in a few years. It might not be ideal right now, but it’ll certainly be a heck of a lot better than the previous 3.

In addition to being thankful for all the usual stuff, and to keep in with the theme of our site, I’d also like to once again give thanks to Jose Baez, Cheney Mason and the rest of Casey’s defense team for the awesome job they did for Casey against all the odds (and all the media)… and the jury for not being swayed by all the BS.  Thanks too to Casey’s civil attorney Charles Greene… and (last and certainly least) to The Laughing Guy, Texas Eqqusearch, Zenaida “PayPal” Gonzalez & John Morgan for the endless hours of unnecessary amusement we’ve derived from their combined ridiculous shennanigans – (not forgetting the 12 hours from earlier this week).

Make it an awesome day!

Legal experts quick to comment on The Laughing Guy’s fiction book release

In the wake of The Laughing Guy’s fiction book release yesterday, many legal experts have been quick to offer sharp criticism of its hate & sour grapes-riddled contents.

Here’s the latest from WESH.com:

Legal experts share thought on Laffy book

Jose Baez also issued the following statement regarding the book:

“Having read several of the comments Mr. Ashton makes in his new book, I am both surprised and somewhat disappointed he has chosen to attack me on a personal level. Without going into specific detail, I will say only that many of his accusations are absolutely false. I take my responsibilities to the court very seriously and I have been careful to always conduct myself in a professional manner. This was an extraordinarily complicated case and so much of what happened behind the scenes has not yet been made public. When I decide to tell my story, you can be certain I will not be personally attacking Mr. Ashton.”
